Starbucks sold beans, not drinks, and refused his cafe idea. So he left and built his own.
A few years later he bought Starbucks itself, then grew it into thousands of stores.
Haunted by his father, he gave part-time workers health insurance and stock.
The boy from the projects built a coffee empire, and never forgot why.
