It rains sulfuric acid on Venus — but not a single drop ever reaches the ground.
Venus is wrapped in clouds tens of kilometers thick — not water vapor, but droplets of concentrated sulfuric acid, corrosive enough to dissolve metal.
High in the atmosphere, those clouds release acid rain, just like storm clouds on Earth. But Venus is a furnace — around 465°C at the surface. As the droplets fall, they meet air so blisteringly hot that they boil away, evaporating tens of kilometers up before they ever land. On Earth we call rain that vanishes before it lands 'virga' — on Venus it happens on a planet-wide scale, an endless acid cycle that never completes.
It's a storm caught mid-fall — acid rain that has been pouring for billions of years, evaporating in the heat, and has never once touched the ground.
